For the primary time in its 60-yr records, the World Press Photo Foundation has revoked a photographer’s invite after it emerged he had been accused of “irrelevant conduct.” His flight, lodging, and invite to the rite and festival have all been canceled. Andrew Quilty had submitted photographs of the aftermath of a bombing in Kabul, which won 1/3 location in the Spot News, Stories category. But in keeping with Lars Boering, dealing with the World Press Photo Foundation director, Quilty was no longer at the ceremony in Amsterdam.
The World Press Photo Foundation believes visible journalism wishes its community to be united in opposition to discrimination and harassment. He said: No allegations of irrelevant conduct had been acknowledged to me. As a supporter of my female colleagues and the #MeToo motion, I might frankly and openly address any worries approximately my conduct if raised.
